Project #18a: Pennsylvania, Annie's Gifts for Chemo

Project runs from April 15 to May 15, 2011 Can you believe we are already closing in on May? Soon, we will be knitting for the cold holiday season all over again! We have two Project 18 options. This is Project 18a. We are going to lighten it up a bit and make small “happy” stylish handmade items only that will fit in a 6” x 6” bag. Annie’s Gifts for Chemo will then deliver the items to patients at Fox Chase hospital in Philadelphia who are going through chemotherapy. These little gifts can be anything you choose that is happy, stylish (doesn’t matter what style, as long as it is something you would want to receive as a gift yourself!), fun, small, and made while thinking your most happy thoughts. Okay, I added that last bit, and it isn’t really a requirement, but hey, we could all use some happy thoughts these days, and I want to send as many happy thoughts as I can muster along with my handmade items. You can knit, crochet, sew, bead, macrame, or whatever other method of creation you desire. Step on over to Annie’s Gifts for Chemo Ravelry group to read about how the project got started, and get some great ideas about what to make. There are many ideas there, including: Jewelry - Wrist Warmers - Fingerless Gloves - Neck Scarves Flower Clips - Keyring Fobs - Water Bottle Holders - Amigurumi Friends -Cell Cozies - Book Markers - Soap Sweaters - Coasters - sleep eye mask… Mailing address: Please send to : Kathleen Greco Jelly Yarns P. O. Box 543 Southampton, PA 18966 USA Again, REMEMBER TO PUT THE SHARING OUR GIFTS TAG ON ALL ITEMS because we are sending direct. We have done a great job of tagging all items on recent projects - let’s keep it up. As always, I thank each and every participant for your dedication and help on these projects. Happy Creating!
